Good morning parents! Your camper has been having a fantastic time. Last night we learned to do what God says and this morning we learned to love others the way you want to be loved. Camp Update #3
Hey parents! Day one of KidzWorld camp went great! The kids are having a blast and they’re learning plenty too. This week we’re unpacking what it means to be Living Inside Out. We’re finding out just what God wants to do inside of us to change the world around us. Our memory verse this week is Matthew 7:24, “So then, everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on the rock.” It all comes down to not just hearing what God says but doing it, that’s why we had the bottom line of Do What God Says. Stay tuned for more parents!
Camp Update #2
We just finished up our evening session. As it stands this evening, in our Red Vs. Blue competition, the Red Team has 122,000 points and the Blue Team has 107,000 points. Looks like Red Team is in the lead, but do you think the Blue Team can step up? Guess you will just have to wait and see tomorrow. Right now your camper is having a blast at the outdoor carnival. We will be posting pictures from that event later tonight.
Camp Update #1
Hey Parents! We made it to camp safe and sound. The ride was awesome and we have kicked off our Red vs. Blue competition with rallies and games. Now we are enjoying free time with swimming and the water slide. We will be posting pictures multiple times throughout the day and evening, so keep checking to spot your camper!
KidzWorld Sky Ranch Camp 2014
What’s up families?! In less than two weeks we’ll be loading up the busses and heading to Oklahoma for KidzWorld Camp. From July 1st to July 3rd your kids will be enjoying the zipline, blob, waterslide and several other fun games and activities. We hope you’re as excited as we are! As always, there’s no better place to get pictures, videos, and updates from camp than right here on lifeinakidzworld.com.

Before camp, you can review the six bottom lines we’ll be covering:
- Do what God says.
- Trust God because he knows.
- Treat everyone like they are loved by God.
- Love others the way you want to be loved.
- Love people more than things.
- Do good things so people can see God is good.
Going over these bottom lines with your kids will give them a headstart on what’s to come. I hope you continue having an awesome summer and we’ll see you in KidzWorld soon!
Endurance Contest Challenge #2
Hey KidzWorld Kidz and families! Are you ready for your next challenge in the KidzWorld Summer Endurance Contest? Ok! Here it is:
Sometime in the next few weeks, invite a friend to your house or have them do some activity with your family. Keep in mind what we learned in KidzWorld: God tells us to welcome others into our homes to make them feel wanted. Make sure you snap a photo of you, your friend, and your family doing something fun. To submit your photo, post it along with your name to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using #kidzworldcontest or you can email the photo to kidzworld@newspring.org. That’s all you have to do to be entered to win one of three $100 gift cards at our KidzWorld FX event on August 22.
Also, if you took a photo at our FX event in May but haven’t uploaded it yet there’s still time to post it and receive credit. If you posted it but forgot to include #kidzworldcontest, just reupload it with the hashtag so we can find your photo. Keep checking back here over the rest of the summer for the next two contest challenges. The challenges you complete and submit the more chances you have at winning the gift cards.

Celebrate Summer KidzWorld FX
KidzWorld kicked off summer with a bang at our first Family Experience of the year on Friday, May 16. With engaging skits, high-energy music, interactive games, and a Watermark to recognize 24 children and their decisions to be baptized, the program was packed with fun for the whole family. The event was a huge success with just under 700 in attendance. But none of this would have been possible without the hard work of our staff members and volunteers. If you couldn’t attend the event, we look forward to seeing you at our “Back-to-School” KidzWorld FX on August 22.
The Big Idea of the event was Endurance, and in honor of this, we launched a summer contest to practice “Sticking With It” at home with your family. We will post 4 exciting challenges over the course of the summer and we want you to snap a photo of your family completing them. The first assignment was given during this past FX. But if you missed the event, don’t worry because you still have a chance to win. Each submitted photo will enter you in a drawing for one of three $100 gift cards. Check back here for the next assignment or get it by following my Twitter: @dankubish. After you’ve completed the challenge, email the photo to kidzworld@newspring.org or post it to Twitter, Instagram or Facebook using #kidzworldcontest. Be sure to include this hashtag so we can find your photo. The drawing will take place at our “Back-to-School” FX event on August 22 so make sure you come out to claim the prize!

Join Us For Easter At NewSpring
Make an Impact on the Next Generation
I have the best job on the planet! I love what I get to do as I see life-change happen in kids and families. I know without a shadow of a doubt that it takes many people to make the weekend happen at NewSpring. I am thankful for the many of you who have found your place in volunteering at NewSpring. Every single volunteer is valuable to make NewSpring an inviting place for guests.
If you have not yet found your niche for volunteering, I have an opportunity for you to step up and get involved. Tomorrow, Thursday, February 20, KidzWorld and The Wire are hosting auditions for tech, puppeteers, musicians, actors and actresses as well as Adventure Avenue Praise Team members. If you want to have a impact on the next generation, I invite you to come out tomorrow evening at 6:30 p.m. We will meet in the auditorium first and divide up from there for individualized auditions. We are going to have lots of fun and some great give-aways. Whether you want to help in KidzWorld or The Wire, please come tomorrow night.
For those who may not feel comfortable on stage but would love to engage kids and students on a small group level, we need you too! This weekend you can stop by Volunteer Training (in Adventure Avenue) after any service to ask questions and fill out a volunteer application.
My prayer is that you will ask God to show you where He wants you to serve at NewSpring and then take the steps to make it happen! You will be glad you did!
Exciting News for 4th Graders
I know there is still snow on the ground, but KidzWorld and The Wire are thinking about summer–and camp! We have some exciting news for 4th graders about summer camp this year. In order to help your child make a smooth transition from KidzWorld into The Wire, we will be promoting 4th graders into The Wire on Memorial Day weekend, May 24/25. That means they are invited to attend camp with The Wire on June 2-5 at Sky Ranch Camp in Quapaw, OK! It will be a great way for them to have quality time getting to know the leadership team from The Wire. We will also take several KidzWorld staff and volunteers to camp so your child will have familiar adult faces around as well.
This is a great opportunity for your child so I hope you will take advantage of this chance to give your child a great start in The Wire. Registration for reWired Camp is now open and you can get more info and register your child here.
For those of you who may have children younger than 4th grade, KidzWorld Camp will happen on July 1-3 at Sky Ranch Camp. It will be open for kids entering 2nd-4th grades in fall 2014.
