Making KidzWorld the best hour of your child’s week!
What can you do as a parent (or grandparent or other caring adult) to make your children’s church experience the best hour of their week? At NewSpring, we spend our whole week preparing for the weekend experience. We look for fun and innovative ways to share God’s Word in a way that children can grasp and apply to their own lives. We recruit and train volunteers who desire to spend time getting to know your children and helping them see God’s love. We have even created some exciting environments that have been known to make kids ask, “Are you sure this is a church?”
With all that we do to engage your children, you still have the most important part in the equation. You have to bring them! It can be challenging to get everyone up on a Sunday morning or get everyone cleaned up after a full Saturday of recreation, but it’s always worth it to spend time with others who love Jesus.
In KidzWorld, we have made the extra effort to make church convenient for you. Our environments for kids from birth through 4th grade are open during all 5 weekend services AND the environments actually open a full 30 minutes before the service begins! That gives you time to check-in, get something from the coffee shop and get a hug from your kiddos before drop-off. It helps everyone in the family be in the right frame of mind to worship our Creator. So, just plan to leave the house a few minutes early this weekend and make your church experience the best hour of your week!
Exciting Days Ahead at NewSpring Church
Several events are happening this summer in KidzWorld and The Wire. All of these events are completely free! Take a look at what is in store for you and your family.
Friday, August 21 at 7 p.m.: KidzWorld Back-to-School FX is happening in the main auditorium. FX is a family experience designed for the whole family. Kids and parents will have a great time enjoying music, games, funny skits and some valuable lessons on the Big Idea of Wisdom. The program lasts about an hour and childcare is available for those who are age 3 and under.
Friday, August 28 at 7 p.m.: The Wire Event (main auditorium) is a brand new event for 5th-8th graders and their parents. Students will have a great time experiencing music, games and other craziness. Then Senior Pastor Mark Hoover will speak about the importance of the middle school years. See what your kids are learning in the month of May
Hey KidzWorld kids and families!
For the month of May in Route 252 (1st-4th grades), we are learning all about the Big Idea of Honesty – choosing to be truthful in whatever you say and do. Our Bottom Lines for the month are:
- Being truthful helps you stay out of trouble.
- When you’re not truthful, you can hurt the people you care about.
- When you’re not truthful, you lose trust.
- When you lie to help yourself, you hurt yourself instead.
- Being truthful with God keeps you close to Him.
Our memory verse for the month comes from Psalm 119:29 – Keep me from cheating and tellings lies. Be kind and teach me your laws.
If your child is in Baby Bay (0-24 months) or Adventure Avenue (2 yrs-Kdg), we started a new curriculum called First Look. It’s produced by the same company that produces our elementary curriculum but it’s designed specifically for the younger kids. This month in Baby Bay and Adventure Avenue your children will be part of the Happy Helpers Club as they learn to answer the following question:
- Who can help others?
- I can help others.
Memory verse: “Be kind and loving to each other.” Ephesians 4:32, NCV
Easter 2015
Hey KidzWorld kids and families, this past weekend we celebrated the most important event in history, Easter! Kids heard the story of Jesus’s sacrifice and what it means for our salvation. We encouraged them to remember that God made peace with us through Jesus. Also, we had a blast with our usual worship and fun games and we even gave away some cool prizes. We had an amazing time this weekend, and we hope to see you in KidzWorld’s Route 252 in the future.
March ’15 – Patience
Hey KidzWorld kids and families! For the month of March, we’ll be learning all about the big idea of Patience – waiting until later for what you want now. Our memory verse for the month comes from Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord. Be strong and don’t lose hope. Wait for the Lord! Our Bottom Lines for the first four weeks help us remember what to do when it’s hard to wait
When you think you can’t wait:
During the last week of March, as we get ready for Easter, our final bottom line is: Remember that God’s plan is bigger than yours. We hope to see you in KidzWorld soon!
February ’15 – Kindness
Hey families! This month in KidzWorld we’re learning the Big Idea of Kindness – showing others they are valuable by how you treat them. Our goal is that, by the end of the month, your kids will understand kindness much better. The bottom lines for the month are: there’s always time to be kind, be kind to your family and friends, be kind to people who are overlooked, and be kind to people who aren’t kind to you. Our memory verse for the month comes from Luke 6:31 – Do to others as you want them to do to you. We hope to see you in KidzWorld soon!
January ’15 – Commitment
Happy New Year, Families! 2015 is here! In honor of the New Year, all month long we’ll be learning about the Big Idea of Commitment – making a plan and putting it into practice. We hope this Big Idea will help your family stick to those New Year’s resolutions. But more importantly, we want to help grow your child’s relationship with God. We’ll be encouraging your kids to practice hearing God, praying to God, talking about God and living for God. Our memory verse for the month comes from 1 Timothy 4:8 – Training the body has some value. But being godly has value in every way. Be sure to visit NewSpring’s Facebook page facebook.com/newspringchurch to stay up to date on our weekly bottom lines. We hope to see you in KidzWorld soon!
