Got Caught

It is always fun to “catch people” being early to their ministry at NewSpring Church.  Andrew helps in Rt 252 with some high energy boys.  Amy helps in the Kindergarten class and showed up extra early to make sure she was ready to welcome those little ones to class.  Keep up the good work everyone and maybe someone will catch you being early to minister to kids.

Bus Gets a New Look

bus

We are so excited about the face lift that our NewSpring bus received over the last month.  Brandon did a fine job painting the bus white for us with the help of a couple of great volunteers.  Then I took it down to Signs Now and they laid the graphics on it.  Lance did his part by creating the cool graphics.  It is a great way to advertise NewSpring and it looks cool as well.  There are several community outreaches we will be doing this summer so it will come in handy as we promote NewSpring Church.

A week from tomorrow Debbie and I will be taking a total of 60 people to Centri-Kid  Camp in Bolivar, MO.  We are excited about all the kids that are coming; this is the largest group of kids we have taken to camp.  Pray for us as we work with these kids and as God works in each one of their hearts.  Special thanks to all of you who helped sponsor a kid to go to camp.  May God bless you “super-good” for having a heart for kids!

Family Time at NewSpring Church

We had a great family time at NewSpring this weekend.  The kids joined their parents in the Worship Center to learn about the virtue of humility. The KidzWorld Praise Team led in worship and the puppets were there to help teach the kids about humidity, er, I mean humility. The pictures give you some idea of just how much fun we had this weekend as Bubba learned about the importance of putting others first.

Special thanks to all of the volunteers who helped with the program and to Andy Williams & Sarah Kubish for doing such a great job with the technical end of things. Next week everyone will be back in their own environments but will continue to learn about the virtue of humility. I am excited about the whole family learning to “put others first by giving up what you think you deserve.” Our bottom line yesterday was “God wants you to remember it’s not about you” and we told the story of the Tower of Babel. Our church, family, and work place will be changed if we all practice a little humility.
