Here are the final four in the 2009 Jingle Jamming Contest.  The winner will be announced during Jingle Jam on Christmas Eve.

We are getting closer every day to opening our new kids’ building here at NewSpring.  The Fun Zone area is being built and the play area for the 2-yr-old room is starting to come together.  Special thanks to the volunteers who came Friday and helped clean some of the rooms to get ready to move in equipment and start preparing for our first weekend in the new space.  We are still waiting on a few inspections….so we still don’t have a confirmed date when we will be open but we will be sure to let you know when we do.  Thanks to all who have helped in so many areas and also those of you who have given to help with this project.  Exciting days are ahead for NewSpring so keep praying as we reach more people with the good news.

One of our guests this past weekend found out about KidzWorld by coming to a birthday party at NewSpring.  They had a wonderful time at the birthday party and were interested in coming to church.  They came on Saturday night and walked up to the check-in stations. The dad asked me, “How much does it cost for my kids go to your children’s program?”  I said, “There isn’t a fee.”  That dad looked at me like I was from Mars!  He turned to his wife and said, “It’s free…can you believe it?”  The dad finished checking his kids in and then he said to me, “I can tell this church cares for kids and that is so awesome!  Make sure you tell everyone who helps do this ‘thank you!’  We will definitely be back and we’ll tell our friends about this great find.”

If your child attended KidzWorld last weekend and was in the 252 Theater they probably excitedly told you about some contest that you are still trying to figure out.  We are calling it “Jingle Jamming” to go along with our Jingle Jam Christmas Eve event.  The object of the contest is for kids to come up with a wacky, funny, wild video of someone or something (pets are fair game) jamming around the Christmas tree or any other Christmas-y background to their favorite Christmas song.  Be creative and have lots of fun with your kids.

Important stuff:

Videos must be submitted by Dec 20th to Mr. Dan on DVD.

Videos must be 1 min or less.

Grand Prize winner will be announced during Jingle Jam on Christmas Eve.

The Grand Prize is an Electric Guitar!  That’s right..how cool is that?  It will be worth the work.

The first picture is a boy having his birthday party here at NewSpring on Saturday.  His family and friends were completely blown away by what we do for kids here at NewSpring. The second picture was taken Saturday night. It’s a 4-year-old who didn’t want to leave KidzWorld!  This is not a staged photo!  The third picture is some of the kids signing our temporary wall outside 252 Theater.  If you have a chance you should go by and read some all the messages on the wall.  Even some adults have enjoyed signing the wall.
