Got Caught

Andrew

It is always fun to “catch people” being early to their ministry at NewSpring Church.  Andrew helps in Rt 252 with some high energy boys.  Amy helps in the Kindergarten class and showed up extra early to make sure she was ready to welcome those little ones to class.  Keep up the good work everyone and maybe someone will catch you being early to minister to kids.

Bus Gets a New Look

bus

We are so excited about the face lift that our NewSpring bus received over the last month.  Brandon did a fine job painting the bus white for us with the help of a couple of great volunteers.  Then I took it down to Signs Now and they laid the graphics on it.  Lance did his part by creating the cool graphics.  It is a great way to advertise NewSpring and it looks cool as well.  There are several community outreaches we will be doing this summer so it will come in handy as we promote NewSpring Church.

A week from tomorrow Debbie and I will be taking a total of 60 people to Centri-Kid  Camp in Bolivar, MO.  We are excited about all the kids that are coming; this is the largest group of kids we have taken to camp.  Pray for us as we work with these kids and as God works in each one of their hearts.  Special thanks to all of you who helped sponsor a kid to go to camp.  May God bless you “super-good” for having a heart for kids!

Family Time at NewSpring Church

We had a great family time at NewSpring this weekend.  The kids joined their parents in the Worship Center to learn about the virtue of humility. The KidzWorld Praise Team led in worship and the puppets were there to help teach the kids about humidity, er, I mean humility. The pictures give you some idea of just how much fun we had this weekend as Bubba learned about the importance of putting others first.

Special thanks to all of the volunteers who helped with the program and to Andy Williams & Sarah Kubish for doing such a great job with the technical end of things. Next week everyone will be back in their own environments but will continue to learn about the virtue of humility. I am excited about the whole family learning to “put others first by giving up what you think you deserve.” Our bottom line yesterday was “God wants you to remember it’s not about you” and we told the story of the Tower of Babel. Our church, family, and work place will be changed if we all practice a little humility.

Bike Rodeo at NewSpring

We had an awesome time we had with all the kids who joined in the Bike Rodeo!  They all did a great job and had a lot of fun riding bikes and eating hotdogs and sno-cones.  A big special “KidzWorld Thank You” to all the folks that came and helped!  A a super big “KidzWorld Thank You” to all the security folks who came to make sure all were safe.  We couldn’t have done it without you.

Caught Ya!

Debbie

↑Debbie Harp was in place at 10:35 to help greet kids in the KidzWorld Theater.
Jennifer Miller was ready for the bike rodeo Saturday night at 5:25.  She helps in AA both Saturday night and Sunday morning at 9:30.
Shellie Hulsey was caught at 9:05 Sunday morning getting ready for
the kindergartners.
Each one of these ladies got a gift card to Sonic!  Enjoy a refreshing limeade or banana split on us.
We appreicatie so much those of you who have made the “extra effort” to be here at least 20 minutes early.  This past Sunday I was talking to two kids as they were standing at the entrance of the theater looking out in the hallway.  I asked, “Who are you looking for?”  They replied, “We are waiting for our small group leader to get here!”  What an impact you have on kids.  That is why it is so important to be in your place early.

Caught on Fathers’ Day Weekend

Darren & Becky Hamilton were caught being 20 minutes early to Adventure Avenue on Saturday.

Brian & Barb Tozer were caught being not just 20 minutes early for their 11:00 class, they actually came at 9:15 and helped with the 9:30 class before teaching their 11:00 class.

Thanks to every volunteer in KidzWorld this weekend! Karla sent some pictures showing all the fun.

Early to Serve

Some more volunteers were caught being early to serve at NewSpring.  The top photo is Leon Embry. Leon and his wife, Judy volunteer in Baby Bay at 9:30. Mickey Elworth helps in Route 252 and does an awesome job sharing God’s love with the children.  We appreciate so much our volunteers who take time to minister to the children that are coming to NewSpring.  It is exciting to see all the families that are coming and lives that are being changed.

We appreciate ALL of the volunteers who have been getting here early. Keep it up and you may just get “caught” in the next few weeks!

Block Party

Last night we had a great time with the folks from the Sienna Ranch.  We had hotdogs, chips and even snow cones as a special treat.  The puppet team did a great job and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time.  Michelle Poore even did some superduper face painting. Kids were still lined up for that even after everything was taken down.  What a fun way to get out in the community and just hang out with some people.  Also the team has been invited to go to Rosehill on July 27, for a ice cream social in the park.  They are expecting around 300 hundred people and we are going down there to have some fun.   We will be bring the puppets and well as our large inflatable.  To all those who came to the party last night, it was awesome to meet you and to those that worked very hard behind the scenes, a big heartfelt thank you.

Buddy at Big Spud Ranch

For all the kids who will attend KidzWorld this weekend, this picture is a hint of what we will be talking about.  So make sure you don’t miss this Saturday or Sunday.  Don’t forget to invite a friend with you.

Coming up June 21 at 6 p.m. we will have a Bike Rodeo that will only happen on Saturday.  Bring your bike or trike and we are going to have a blast.  This is also a great time to invite someone who doesn’t go to church.

Somebody Got Caught

Sunday we were on the lookout for people who showed up early to minister at NewSpring Church. The following people ” got caught” doing that.  It makes my day when volunteers arrive early and it makes such a difference in how we can prepare to minister to the kids.  We will be catching people over the next month so all you have to do to participate is to show up at least 20 minutes early.  Why don’t you give it a try?

Jen Broadbent was caught being here at NewSpring by 9 a.m.!  Way to go!  She was spotted by Karla Stinson and given a gift card to Starbucks.  Jen leads Adventure Avenue 4 during the 9:30 service.

Debbi Burton was in Adventure Avenue 2 at 10:35 a.m. to get ready for the 11:00 service.  Her husband Don also is a vital part of that ministry and he was there too because Debbi told him to be!
