Running with perseverance,
Our race marked out,

Where in the World is Cosmo Contest Clue #1
OK families–this is it–what you have been waiting for since the weekend: the first clue in the Where in the World is Cosmo contest. Remember, the medallion is NOT located on NewSpring property. The medallion is hidden somewhere in Sedgwick county. You will NOT have to destroy any property to find it. Be safe at all times. And parents, make sure you take the opportunity to teach your kids about the Big Idea of Perseverance while you are looking….that is the whole point of this contest. If you missed Family Experience this past weekend, we introduced a brand new Where in the World is Cosmo contest where families have the chance to use clues to search for a Cosmo medallion. The family to find Cosmo first will win a fabulous set of prizes including family movie passes, Imax family movie passes, 100.00 Visa gift card for back to school shopping, waterpark passes and–just for the adults–$50.00 gift card to Red Rock Canyon Grill to celebrate your win!
If you find Cosmo you need to take a family picture in the place you find it and email it to dan.kubish@newspring.org to make your win official. Have fun as a family as you learn about Perserverance!
Clue #1
Summer is here,
How do you know,
It is time again to find Cosmo,
Taking care of business in the ICT,
You should always start central,
Nineteen, Five, Fourteen or Twenty-three,
Two together is the direction you see,
You might be scratching your head,
Thinking this doesn’t make sense,
Remember the Big Idea is Perseverance.
Invite From Mark Hoover
Good Afternoon NewSpring,
Two big things on my mind for this weekend. First, in our weekend series The Contest, we’re looking at another powerful weapon you have in your arsenal to do battle against the dark side. It’s called, “It’s Not a Fair Fight Pt. 2 Lifeline.” If you ever feel like the problems of life are too big for you to face, you’ll love this talk.
Friday night we’re celebrating a KidzWorld Watermark experience. Over thirty kids are going public with their faith in believer’s baptism. What’s really exciting is these kids have made videos of their personal journey of faith. And trust me on this, they’re awesome!
Even if you don’t have kids or grandkids participating, I want to encourage you to come experience this unique moment in the life of our church. You’ll love it, and it’ll be a huge encouragement to these kids who are taking such a bold step. It all gets started this Friday night, June 24 at 7 p.m.
See you soon,
Mark

How About More Pictures From Camp…OMC
Final Video From Camp
We are on the road heading home from KidzWorld Camp 2011. We had an awesome time. Our camp theme was Superheroes and the League of Superheroes joined us at camp to teach us some super-powers that were used by people from the Bible. We found out that we can also be superheroes for God! Here are some questions you can ask your kids that will let you know what they learned at camp this week.
1. Who were the 5 superheroes in the League of Superheroes?
2. Who was your favorite superhero?
3. Who was your small group leader/counselor?
4. What is the golden cape?
5. What was your favorite outside activity?
6. Was the water in the lake cold?
We had an awesome final session today and 17 kids talked to a leader about making their faith public through baptism. If your child talked to a leader at camp, you will receive a letter in the mail in the next few days with some ways we would like to help you follow up on that decision.
Thanks for sending your kids to camp. We had a blast hanging out with them! Now, click below to watch the last camp video.
