Jingle Jam 2013
Jingle Jam
Coming Up in December
I want to make sure that you know about a few events in which your family can participate for December.
BABY DEDICATION CELEBRATION: This takes place on Sunday, December 8 at 3 p.m. and is for families with a child under age 2. It is an opportunity for parents to commit to raise their child to know and love God. You must register for this event so that you can receive some special information and personalized invitations in the mail. Registration deadline is Dec 1. Visit newspring.org/babydedication to register.
JINGLE JAM CAROLERS: If you have a child from age 4 through 4th grade who likes to perform on stage, sign him or her up as a Jingle Jam Caroler. Jingle Jam happens on Friday, December 13th. There is a small fee for costume accessories and space is limited. The first practice begins this week so sign up today at newspring.org/jinglejam.
JINGLE JAM FX: On Friday, December 13, KidzWorld takes over the main auditorium for a FREE, fun, family event that we call Jingle Jam. It will be a huge Christmas celebration that your family will not want to miss. It’s a great time to invite your friends and neighbors so they can see how much NewSpring loves kids. The fun begins at 7 p.m. and invitations will be available in the coming weeks.
PROJECT GENEROSITY: All throughout the month of December, NewSpring and KidzWorld will be collecting baby items to benefit the Pregnancy Crisis Center. Beginning next weekend, giving trees will be set up with ornaments that name requested items. You can take one or more ornament, purchase the item or items and return them unwrapped to NewSpring during the month of December.
I hope you will take advantage of one or all of these events! It’s going to be a great Christmas season!
Engaging Kids
This is one of my favorite pictures of one of our themes in KidzWorld. I found this picture as I was going through some files to help another church with ideas for their ministry. I am so excited about all the churches that are finally getting on board and realizing that their competition is not the church down the street but all the other places that vie for kids’ attention. Church should be fun and engaging! Kids should wake up and say, “Oh boy, I get to go to church today!” Let me encourage you to make your ministry fun and still teach kids the life-changing truth.
A Story About “The Big Idea Experience”
Here is a story written about The Big Idea Experience. http://www.coreessentials.org/blog/
Thank You
Here is a letter I received from a mother who came with her daughter for the first time last week. A “Big Thank You” to all the awesome volunteers and dedicated staff who makes this all happen!
I’m writing to let you know what a great experience my daughter had at KidzWorld. She learned so many things, including what it’s like to have wonderful adults who take a interest in her! You all exceeded my expectations for children ministry!
Thank you for providing such a warm, safe, educational, and fun environment for my daughter. I will tell my friends what a great children’s ministry you’re running. We will make sure to come back every chance we get!
