Happy New Year, Families! 2015 is here! In honor of the New Year, all month long we’ll be learning about the Big Idea of Commitment – making a plan and putting it into practice. We hope this Big Idea will help  your family stick to those New Year’s resolutions. But more importantly, we want to help grow your child’s relationship with God. We’ll be encouraging your kids to practice hearing God, praying to God, talking about God and living for God. Our memory verse for the month comes from 1 Timothy 4:8 – Training the body has some value. This past Friday we had our annual KidzWorld FX Jingle Jam and it was a huge success. With over 1800 in attendance, this was our biggest KidzWorld FX to date. Those in attendance were treated to Christmas Carols from our children, fun games, a humorous retelling of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and the baptism of 23 children.

Our Big Idea of this event was Generosity – making someone’s day by giving something away. As an exercise of this Big Idea, KidzWorld is participating in Project Generosity. You can grab a ornament from the Christmas Tree in the lobby and return the gift under the tree. Also, KidzWorld will be have a month long boys vs. girls contest to see who can donate the most diapers. Bring those diapers into the 252 Theater next time you visit.

Hey, KidzWorld Kids and families! The Big Idea for the month of December is Generosity – making someone’s day by giving something away. What an important topic to discuss during the Christmas season! Our memory verse for the month comes from 1 Timothy 6:18 – Be rich in good deeds… be generous and willing to share.  All month, we’ll be teaching your kids how important it is not to get “wrapped up” in our stuff and be thoughtful of others by giving things away. Hey parents! Have you been wondering what goes on in KidzWorld? Well now’s your chance to experience KidzWorld alongside your child! You asked for it and here it is – introducing Parent Month. You’ll have the opportunity to follow your child into KidzWorld for a first-hand account of what your kids are learning. As we are limited on space, we will only be able to accommodate a limited number of attendees each week. If you’re interested, be sure to visit newspring.org/parentmonth and select a date and time that will work for you. Please be sure to register every person who will be attending with your child, but please limit it to two attendees per child. We would also like for you to be able to attend your usual service in the auditorium. To do this, just tell the volunteers at the check-in stations that your child will be attending two KidzWorld services. We are excited for this opportunity to get to know some parents we haven’t met, and we hope that you are one of them. Sign up now by clicking HERE.

The deadline for Endurance Contest Entries will be today, August 22nd, at 12:00 p.m. Now is the time to upload any of the photos that go along with any of our challenges. If you have photos you haven’t uploaded to social media with #kidzworldcontest or emailed to kidzworld@newspring.org, you can still submit them. You’ll want to get those submissions in because every one enters your family into a drawing for a chance to win one of three $100 gift cards tonight at Back-to-School FX. You must attend FX tonight to be eligible to win, but don’t worry, it’s an entirely free event that will be fun for the whole family . We really look forward to seeing everyone there. Hey KidzWorld kids and families! Are you ready for the 4th and final challenge in our Endurance Contest? Ok, well here it is: take a picture of your kids getting ready to go back to school. Pose with your back pack. Arrange your school supplies. You can do anything that has to do with going back to school. If you’ve already uploaded pictures of your kids going back to school to social media, you can add #kidzworldcontest to the comments or email the photo to kidzworld@newspring.org along with your name. Every entry gives you a chance to win one of three $100 gift cards. So if you haven’t participated yet, you still have a chance to participate and be a winner. The drawing for the winners will be held at our Back-to-School FX event August 22nd at 7 p.m. You must attend to be eligible. I hope to see you and your family at KidzWorld FX Friday and in KidzWorld on the weekends soon.

Friday, August 22nd at 7 p.m., we’ll be holding our Back-to-School FX. If you’re looking for a night of family fun that won’t put a strain on your wallet, KidzWorld FX is the event for you. In fact, you can go ahead and leave your wallet at home because FX is absolutely FREE. KidzWorld FX will be a night of live comedy, fun games and will conclude with KidzWorld Watermark. But in addition to the fun, FX is an excellent way for parents to find out what’s going on in KidzWorld.

Also, Back-to-School FX will be the culmination of our Summer Endurance Contest. If you’ve been submitting photos this summer, you need to show up to FX to be eligible to win one of three $100 gift cards. The fourth and final challenge will be announced soon, so you still have a chance to win if you haven’t participated yet.
