What an incredible service at Hartman Arena today! We came together as a whole church in one service to celebrate with the people who decided to make their faith public. Almost 300 people made that statement today in one big party on the plains. The NewSpring band was is full force and Mark had an awesome message. It was just a great day. Special thanks to all the dedicated staff and volunteers who helped make this day possible. It was so cool to see the family of God come together to pull off such a special event. Hopefully you were able to watch channel 24 at 9 p.m. and channel 12 at 10 p.m. as they did a story on Watermark Weekend.
This weekend at NewSpring is the Judgement House Volunteer Kick-Off. Meetings will be held in the auditorium after the Saturday service and after the Sunday 11 a.m. service. This will be your chance to find out what Judgement House is and how you can have a part in the outreach. If you can’t make it to one of the meetings, you can sign up online at www.newspring.org/judgementhouse. The script for this year is brand new: “Words, A Prescription For Tragedy.” Our first performance will be October 21, so get ready for an awesome adventure as you partner with us to reach out to the community around us.
It has been a while since I have blogged. We took some vacation time last week and even though I was tempted to blog, I knew I needed just to be with my family and enjoy the beautiful state of Colorado. But I was so happy to see steel sticking up when I returned to work on Tuesday! Also the first layer of asphalt has been laid in the back parking lot. Construction is moving right along and all the steel should be up very soon. It is going to be so exciting to have this building for our preschool dept. Right now we are using every sq inch of space and we are busting at the seams in some places. One way YOU could help us is by attending the Saturday or 9:15 a.m. service if you have kids. Our KidzWorld classes are becoming maxed out at 11 a.m. and we still have about 6 months before this building will open. So if you have been coming to NewSpring for awhile and attending the 11 a.m. service, we need you to help us make space for more first-time guests by attending another service. We need to make sure we have enough space for those guests so that they can experience the excitement at NewSpring. Thanks so much for helping us!
